Series of Letters from 1941 to 1943 from Herman Shultze
April 12, 1942
My Dear Mother and Sister Lisbeth,
I got your letter from the 7th. How did mother recover? I dearly hope that you both are in the best of health. How is Willie Neumann doing? I wish him a speedy recovery and send Freida and Martha greetings. You wrote to me about the death of Gerhardt Schwartz’s little boy. My deepest sympathy. Please let me know about Gerhardt’s current circumstances since his boy died so young. Is he still living with his parents? Is it because he can not afford to live on his own? I wish him all the best for the future. I, myself, am in the best health.
Herman
